Styled after the Phiran Tunics worn by the women in Kashmir, each kurti with its intricate feather-work stitch is embroidered by hand in the region of Lucknow in north-eastern India.

The embroidery thread starts out as white thread, and is hand-dyed by the artisans to match each piece. This is what gives the embroidery its tone-on-tone shading and makes each kurti one-of-a-kind.

Each piece is handmade using limited runs of fabric. Note that the color, pattern, and embroidery vary from what is pictured. We apologize that not all prints and styles are available in all sizes.
