Sondesh Moulds

Individually hand-carved wooden sweets moulds, typically used to shape the traditional Bengali sweets, sondesh.

The moulds are carved in assorted shapes and patterns. The most common motifs are conch shells, dimpled pomegranates, mangoes, fish, flowers, leaves, hearts, clubs, spades, and diyas (clay oil lamps), all of which are symbols of good wishes, luck, and prosperity.

Each mould is approximately 2" wide.
